Well not exactly chocolate cake, it was donut. But still, the idea of getting a donut for breakfast . . . PURE BLISS!!! I have been tortured with things like sweet potatos, strained spinach, and other unspeakable wannabe food items for too long. Besides I used my amazing negotiating skills and discussed the nutritional benefits of a donut. There are eggs and flour in donuts. Do not those two ingredients make up most breakfast food anyways. My logic baffled her and I of course won. (It also helped that she was exceptionally tired from having to stay up late with Michelle and get up all night to check on at least one us and then get up early with me since I decided to give Daddy an appropriate off to work send off.)
Realizing that she had no strength left to stop me, thus allowing me to enjoy this cakey goodness.

You are spoiled Ryker! I must admit, that is my kind of breakfast too.
I am sitting here eating a bowl of plain shredded wheat with skim milk and drooling over your doughnut, Ryker.
Enjoy another one for me!
Enjoy it now, little one (and eat one for me!).
I wish I had time for breakfast! Well, I would if I didn't love sleep more than breakfast. My time management skills should probably be re-evaluated.
The other night, I sat up to discuss with Landon my concern over Ella's eating habits. She is not a breakfast person, so I have tried several things to entice her while giving her some nutrition. Currently, she has a mug of Carnation Instant Breakfast and some kind of fruit (she thinks it's chocolate milk : ). Well, the morning immediately following this discussion, Ella woke up before me and was served breakfast by Landon . . . a Hostess Chocolate Cupcake! Was I talking to a wall last night?!!!
yum. send some my way!
