Staying Alive

Guest writer: Mommy

I know, I know, "Where are the true writers of this blog?" is what you are all thinking right now. You are all tired of hearing from this crazy lady. They thought they were back in business with the whole blogging business, but...well...life happens. We have been enjoying loads of fun and many adventures here in our home, and so I will do a brief overview of the last month.

April started off warm and lovely and we did some of this. A new concept for us, it is called yard work.

Then Daddy and I got the crazy idea that we might want to have a bedroom to ourselves (yes, all four munchkins have been snoozing in our room at night), and to start the process we got this. Not sure what it is?

Just take into account that I am standing up straight on the floor looking UP to my children.

And here were our little lovies first thing in the morning after ditching their parents and sleeping in the big kids bed. They thought it was pretty cool, and so did we.

Then we had a bunch of family over to be with us when we blessed our sweet babies at church, and sad thing, this is the only picture I have on my camera  from the entire weekend AND my sister was the one that took it.

But then this happened...the pillow Michelle is laying on has a stamp on it with our favorite hospital's name on it. Back to the PICU we go.

But we were getting a long fine, because just days before things digressed my lovely family got me this for an early birthday present. Oh how I am in love with technology.

Our boys at home kept us smiling and happy. Who wouldn't be when they have four beautiful baby blues to look into.

This stay was a quick six days. And boy were these two sweethearts so happy to be reunited.

Unfortunately for everyone, it was short lived. Just over 24 hours later we were back in. But Michelle is sweet and strong, two qualities that keep us going and enjoying everyday.

And it doesn't hurt that this wild thing is around causing all sorts of mischief.

So yes, we are still here, and yes the true writers should soon be back, but unfortunately life happens and it may be me keeping this blog up for the time being. We have some crazy adventures that are looming in front of us right now, and to be honest, they are rather daunting. But we love our life, and all our crazy adventures up to this point have only molded and refined us into the wacky people that we are. We hope that we can stand up to the challenges that are in our future and allow for the molding and refining to make us better, stronger, closer as a family...and more than likely a little bit more wacky.

Love the hair-do, Ryker. And you're getting so grown-up! A big boy bed, Wow!
Have fun working in the yard. Hooray for Spring!

That picture of Ryker with and "egg head" is awesome! It made me grin from ear to ear. I am so sorry about being back in the hospital. You and your family are in our prayers. You can do this!

That's the coolest bunkbed I've ever seen.
We are all hoping that Michelle gets to spend more of her nights in that bed, and not one with the hospital logo on the sheets.
We love you guys!
