A little cake making

Today Daddy was telling Mommy how he was feeling bad that he didn't get his traditional Birthday cake. So Mommy trying to be good got on-line and found a recipe to try, a flour less chocolate cake. Now remember, she is the domestically challenged type, so going down the road of cooking with her can be a little . . . interesting. So of course she enlisted my Marvelous abilities to make Daddy this new type of cake.

She didn't realize that Daddy had gotten the camera out, good thing I have a sixth sense for always being cute in pictures.

After the first one, she got "the picture" and posed with me.

Ryker feeling left out and also starving, Daddy decided to save him and got him some fresh fruit. Ryker response was "really, you guys are swooning over that chocolate cake and the yummy batter and I get . . . fruit?"

But then he decided to try some fruit; he was starving enough he could eat it. He would have preferred a hot dog (this kid is a true carnivore) but has learned to compromise when his belly starts digesting itself.

In the end, he finally decided that the sweetness of the fruit was pretty good and actually refreshing.

Then Daddy decided to take some self portraits. He is sooooooooo happy being 30, can't you tell?

But it doesn't matter because we love him, old and all.
Oh, and if you are wondering how the cake turned out, it was that good. Yep, the adults of this family were too busy stuffing their faces to think to take a picture.

Your dad is quite the photographer and model. You should get that picture of you and your mom together framed.

I really want to know how that cake turned out. I have been wondering about flourless cakes myself.
